The second Women and Men’s Conference will be held on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 again at Stonehill College. The theme for the Conference is: Be on Fire—Set the World on Fire. During the Conference, we will hear from Father Dave Dwyer, CSP, ValLimar Jansen, Sr. Marie Paul Curley, FSP and Father Anthony Ciorra. During lunch time, there will be an opportunity for reconciliation and time to visit the many vendors who will be exhibiting with us for the day. Mass will be celebrated at 4:00PM. The cost for is $50.00 person, includes lunch. Registration can be found online at www.fallriverdiocese.org or through the flyers that are ready for distribution this month. The Gospel reading and blessing of the palms will be said in the parish hall. Distribution of palms will take place at all Masses. Holy week begins on “Passion (or Palm) Sunday” which foretells Christ’s regal triumph and the proclamation of the passion. The commemoration of the entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem has, according to ancient custom, been celebrated with a procession in which the faithful in song and gesture imitate the Hebrew children who went to meet the Lord singing “Hosanna.” The children in faith formation classes, grades 1 & 2 will proceed with palms at the 10:30 am mass, but all families are welcome to join them. |
