  • Scripture & the Mass

    Tuesday Nov 2, 2021 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Saint Nicholas of Myra | Annunciation of the Lord

    Scripture & the Mass

Jesus’s Real Presence in the Eucharist and God’s Holy Word in Scripture are the very lifeblood of what it means to be Catholic. Over the course of 7 weeks, we will explore how the liturgy of the Mass is filled with Biblical meaning and come to a better understanding of the words, signs and symbols that make the Holy Mass so beautiful. It will be a great way to better appreciate, understand and participate in Mass. You are invited to join us to learn and share together!

Who: Anyone with an interest in learning more about the Bible, the Mass and sharing Faith with others

When: Tuesdays @ 6:30pm beginning on Tuesday, November 2.

Where: Annunciation of the Lord Parish Hall; 31 First Street, Taunton

Week 1: The Mass – Where Heaven Meets Earth

Week 2: God Gathers His People

Week 3: Be Hearers & Doers of the Word

Week 4: From Word to Sacrament

Week 5: Last Supper; First Mass

Week 6: The Real Presence of Christ

Week 7: The Mission of Evangelization

No registration is required, and you can just “show up” the first week, however, for planning purposes, if you can contact Greg Bettencourt at geb208@comcast.net with your interest, it will help in the planning process for the first class.

  • First Friday Adoration

    Friday Nov 5, 2021 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

    First Friday Adoration Returns

Fr. David and Fr. Daniel are pleased to announce that starting November 5th, First Friday Adoration is returning to Annunciation of the Lord and St. Nicholas.

We are happy to offer this important devotion to the Eucharist and meditative prayer. Adoration will be at Annunciation of the Lord Parish Chapel after the 8am Mass until 4:00 pm.

Fr. Daniel will end adoration with Benediction at 4:00 or 5:00pm. Both parishes will partner in covering the hours to ensure our Lord Jesus Christ is not left alone.

We are in need of adorers especially for the 4 – 5 PM hour. If you can help please contact Sr. Teresa Silva @ 508-822-0357 so we can put your name on our list.

Special thanks to all those who have already generously offered to be adorers. Please consider helping pray for your families and for our parishes.
