Taunton Lenten Mission - March 17th-20th
What Will Bring Me More Fully to Life This Lent? The very word "Lent" comes from the Anglo-Saxon lengthen, referring to the lengthening of the light. From this original meaning, confirmed in the movement from winter's darkness to spring's vitality, we are invited to move out of our own personal lethargy to vitality, from ashes to the paschal feast. Lent, in short, is about coming to life in new ways. It's about growth. If you approached your life in terms of a holistic spirituality, looking at your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being to see where things have fallen out of balance, grown wild and need some pruning or watering, you might ask yourself: What will bring me and others more fully to life this Lent?
A four-evening Lenten Mission for the Taunton Deanery will take place at 7 p.m. from Sunday, March 17, through Wednesday, March 20, at two churches in the deanery. St. Ann Parish in Raynham will host the mission on Sunday and Monday (Mar. 17 and 18), St. Andrew the Apostle Parish on Tuesday and Wednesday (Mar. 19 and 20).
LENTEN STUDY SERIES - Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist - What is it that is so special about the Eucharist? Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the “source and summit” of the Christian life. Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture, to its profound role in the life of the Church and her members. It is the crescendo of the entire story of salvation. This is a two part study. The presentation will be offered once in the morning and again in the evening. Part 1 Wednesday April 3rd at 10:00am or Part 1 Wednesday April 3rd at 6:30PM / Part 2 Wednesday April 10th at 10:00AM or Part 2 Wednesday April 10th at 6:30PM / Registration is free but there will be a good will offering to cover cost of materials. Please register in advance so we know how many materials to prepare. The presentations are about an hour long.

2019 PARISH ANNUAL APPEAL
You should have received a letter detailing our parish annual appeal. Please take a few minutes to consider how you can help our parish to continue its mission and provide the many wonderful ministries that make this such a special place to worship. Sometimes it is difficult to envision how one pledge can make any real difference. But one sacrifice combined with hundreds of others can reach many in service and love.
Individually we can do many things, but working together and with the Lords help, we can do so much more. In the past we have installed new boilers in the church, fixed the outside architecture of the church, improved the parish hall and provided for many ministries.
The Parish annual Appeal has become a necessary part of our parish operation and over the last few years your contributions have made a tremendous impact on parish improvements.
Thank you for considering our Appeal!
The parish offers online giving with several options. We encourage all parishioners to use this fast, easy and safe alternative to weekly envelopes. If you would like to learn more about this easy, safe and secure way of giving, please contact the parish office or check out our website at https://annunciationtaunton.weshareonline.org/
