In 2009, The USCCB wrote a document entitled Sing to the Lord, in which the bishops of the United States discuss the importance of sacred music in divine liturgy and how music is to be performed. In section 1, they state: "God has bestowed upon his people the gift of song. God dwells within each human person, in the place where music takes its source. Indeed, God, the giver of song, is present whenever his people sing his praises."

Music is an essential part of the liturgy. Our parish community at Annunciation of the Lord provides multiple opportunities for this type of ministry:

1. The choir- sings every Sunday at  8:30am

2. Cantoring- any weekend Mass
